About Mark Peers

My career in the building industry kicked off 24 years ago with no formal qualifications. Within six years, I began as General Manager of a company specialising in double storey residential construction within the highly successful ABN Group. Together with Peter and Dean, we have completed more than 3,000 homes and were the most awarded small builders in Perth – winning 43 housing awards with the HIA and MBA, and being nominated as finalists over 100 times since 2006. We collected prestigious industry awards such as the Australian MBA Housing Excellence Award for Display Homes in 2013 and the HIA Golden Key Award for display homes – and we had a lot of fun getting there.

I have managed over 100 staff members, in excess of 500 subcontractors and helped thousands of Perth families tick ‘building a new home‘ off their bucket list. It was this part in particular that inspired me to start Coast Homes. I wanted to be a part of those client journeys again and to offer our clients an experience that allows flexibility and collaboration, combined with a hands-on approach to customer service to ensure they receive the best possible outcome.

To do that, Coast Homes needed the best possible people, and it was only natural to get the original project home builders Perth team back together. With Building Consultants who have the experience to unlock problems and offer solutions, an internal processing team to efficiently move the jobs to site and the best Building Supervisor and trades to manage the onsite construction, Coast Homes has all of the elements to deliver.

About Dean Harris

Building runs in my family and in my blood. Since my start in the industry helping on construction sites as a teenager for my father’s building company, I have been exposed to the ins and outs of the industry. I have learnt from the ground up, starting in various support roles on-site, working my way up to Site Supervisor before starting with apg Homes in 1998 as a Scheduler and Estimator. I progressed to Estimating Manager in 2003 and was promoted to Operations Manager in 2011.

Four years later, upon hearing Mark was embarking on a new venture with some of the most experienced personnel in the industry, I jumped at the opportunity to help create and run a company based on an ethos of passion and unparalleled excellence in our field. With a strong focus on collaboration with clients at every step of the journey, we make client dreams a reality.

The team at Coast Homes know that to create a once in a lifetime home, the design and construction of your house and future lifestyle is as much a part of the excitement and journey for clients as being handed the keys and walking into your new home. About Peter Parker

Building has been my life. I originally started as a Carpenter with Webb & Brown-Neaves in 1986. In 1997, the opportunity came up to transfer within the ABN Group to a new double storey venture. I transferred across as one of their inaugural tradesmen and within a year I accepted a position as a Site Manager. My love and passion for building homes was rewarded in 2004 when I was promoted to Construction Manager and then again in 2006 when I became Building Manager.

My role had changed dramatically from where I began but it had become my responsibility to mentor and coach Site Managers coming through the ranks to share the knowledge I had acquired over the span of my career. I am proud to say that I have acquired a strong reputation for well built, high-quality homes, a reputation that fits perfectly with the team at Coast Homes.

About Brendon Gibbs

Having always had an interest in building and design, I started my journey as a Draftsman for a design company in 1998. I furthered my career with the ABN Group in 2000 where I both honed and expanded my skill set. I have won many awards for my work in building more than 150 homes and still enjoy the challenge and reward of managing construction teams in ensuring our clients dream home is achieved, each and very time.

When the opportunity came to join the Coast Homes team, I couldn’t refuse and am now proud to be a part of Western Australia’s most exciting and progressive building company.
